Message filtering

This feature is available only for Premium Users

Filters are very useful if you want to configurate Aximo to skip some messages. You can also specify a separate channel where Aximo will send the filtered messages.

Basic filters

Menu → My feeds → Select data source → Message filtering

We have a list standard filters which can be easily activated by using checkboxes. Available options:

  • Filter messages without text
  • Filter messages without images/photos
  • Filter messages without videos
  • Filter messages without any media (audio, photo, video, document)
  • Filter messages with long text. Limits are: 1024 symbols for media message and 4,096 symbols for text message

Allow/Deny Word List

Menu → Settings → Message filtering → Filtering by allow/deny words list

You can use Allow list, or Deny list, or combine them both. Words should be separated with commas without spaces. Please, keep in mind that filters are case insensitive.

Example

Allow: facebook,twitter,florida
Send notification ONLY if original post contains facebook OR twitter OR florida in title or description.

Deny: bitcoin,crypto,etherium
All posts contains bitcoin OR crypto OR etherium will be ignored.

Allow: facebook,twitter,florida
Deny: bitcoin,crypto,etherium
Send notification ONLY if original post contains facebook OR twitter OR florida in title or description and ignore all posts which contains bitcoin OR crypto OR etherium

Similarity filter

Menu → Settings → Message filtering → Filter similar messages

Example

Matching limit
/set similarity_limit 75
Turn on similarity check. If new notification will be similar more than 75 percent bot will skip it. Or send to your temporal channel for validation by you. Possible values: from 10 to 99

Period of checking
/set similarity_period 12
Set the number of how many hours of previously sent messages system need to check for similarity. Possible values: from 1 to 72.

Channel for Filtered Messages

Menu → Settings → Message filtering

After activation all filtered notifications will be sent to your temporary channel. You will be able to check all skipped messages and forward it back to direct messages or chat manually.

To turn on this feature you need to:

  1. Create moderation channel for future messages.
  2. Add @aximobot to created channel as an administrator. If you are using your own bot, please add it also as an administrator.
  3. Send channel_id or channel_link to our bot. To get unique ID of your channel just mention @aximobot in any message in the channel and copy/paste ID from it.
Activate channel for filtered messages
/set filter_channel <channel_id|channel_link>
